Default EUROPE : the long awaited comeback

after years of speculations and amounts of talk between singer Joey Tempest and guitarist John Norum (who leaved the band in 1986 during the worldwide tour supporting "The Final Countdown" album), the great news went in early october : Europe reunites!

the lineup is :
Joey tempest : vocals
John Norum : guitar
Mic Michaelli : keyboards
John Leven : bass guitar
Ian Aughland : drums

the band is hard at work on new material and is recording demos for an album to be released in 2004. guitarist Kee Marcello, who replaced John Norum from 86 to 92, won't join the band in the studio due to overbooked sessions, but will be part of the tour! a DVD will also be released with live material from the forthcoming tour

here's Europe's discography:
Europe (1983) ***
Wings Of Tomorrow (1984) ****
The Final Countdown (1986) ***
Out Of This World (198 *****
Prisoners In Paradise (1991) ****
1982-1992 (1993) *****

You're a bit late, this was announced in October 2003... I think there's a thread about this here somewhere.

That's good news. Joey Tempest's vocal ability was incredible in the past. It will be interesting to hear what the band sounds like now.

Hell, I do hope I get to see them!....

little bit off-topic but...just saw piece of news that Scorpions are going to play in one huge store in Finland next autumn. Now that's what I call selling out! they must be doin really bad if they have to do some damn shop-gigs.....

to think of it...lots of 80's is crawling back, maybe Jovi should try making new 80's album too
