Default Any Input????

I'm board so I thought I'd ask everyone here for an opinion.

I play in a rock cover band and I'm wanting any surrgestions on songs we could play, especially any Bon Jovi hits. Read the setlist and base any answers on similar styles to what we play already.

Valerie (Zutons/Amy Winehouse)
I Want to Break Free (Queen)
Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Queen)
Gimmie Some Lovin' (Spencer Davis Group)
Ruby (Keiser Cheifs)
Sit Down (James)
Dekota (Stereophonics)
Summer of '69 (Bryan Adams)
Teenage Kicks (Undertones)

Thanks everyone.

when we were gigging we used to do a cracking rocked up version of all or nothing by the small faces.

really easy to play and make come alive with big guitars.

same with waterloo sunset.

on account of the undertones i';d say throw in the buzzcocks ever fallen in love, something by the pistols and another girl another planet.

u got a myspace or anything?

Nah. I'm pretty crappy with the Internet, infact this is the only forum I'm a member of and I've only notched up about 40 posts here.

Thanks for the ideas. Like them a lot especially the Buzzcocks.

Hey man, I think if I could offer you any advice at all for a cover it'd be go for the most popular track you can. It can sound pretty boring just picking a really well known track, but you can have some fun in how you choose to play it.

I play in a Jovi tribute band and it's sadly the case that you can play a less well know track really well and get a lukewarm response because it wasn't a big track - or a massive hit less well and get a lot of crowd interaction and a great response. Sad but true.

Be cool to see/hear some of your band stuff if you get any recorded.

i'll second wayne's sentiment about playing well known stuff.

as much as i'd like to play obscure indie tracks and classic rock when i DJ at the end of the day what gets people up dancing is ymca and dolly parton...

tonnes of bands play stuff like brown eyed girl, wonderful tonight and mustang sally for a reason.
