Question Should BJ have retired after These Days?

I voted Yes. Maybe they could've released a live album but nothing new.
They lack motivation nowadays, and that lack of motivation can be easily seen any of the past 4 or 5 albums.

Plz don't choose No just because you want to hear something new from BJ (never minding if it's pure crap).

Thats one of the silliest comments I've heard in a while. Why else would you choose no?

So basically, there's no song you've liked/really liked since These Days? Even on the Boxset? Cos if they had packed it in, you never would have heard it

Box Sets are being released even after artists die so there wouldn't really have been a problem.

I guess my answer is YES although i didn't vote in the poll. I mean neither Crush nor Bounce nor HAND are albums that I actually listen too but there are certain songs like Say It n't So, Right Side Of Wrong or Novocaine which I reall like. Anyway, if they retired after These Day they'd be legends now...
Instead they are just a mediocre pop-rock band.

A question to anyone who votes yes to this; why do you bother listening to tha band and posting here if you think that they should have retired 9 years ago?

because i already love all the albums before crush, and bon jovi from that era is still my favorite band, and sure i would enjoy talking about those times. it doesnt matter if a band exists or not. you can always talk about the times they existed. do you assume that if a band no longer exists, people wouldnt enjoy talking about the older days in message boards?

I voted no cause even though the albums mightn't have been the songs , there have been some good songs sprinkled throughout

No. I like the new stuff.
I don't think it's motivation they lack.
If that was the case then they would have retired long ago.
I think it's inspiration what they are lacking, hence why so many songs are about the same thing.
With the Have a Nice Day album I thought had some restored inspiration, Novocaine proves that Jon can lyrically hold his own against anyone when being inspired by a certain event.

I challenge everyone who votes yes to this: never again listen to another Bon Jovi song from after These Days (inc. anything on the Boxset that is previously unreleased). Never buy any more new albums that they might release in the future, or download them, or even listen to them. For the rest of your life. Any takers?

Obviously YES. I will keep on posting because here we talk about their past their present and probable future. I'm a fan of the old BJ music. And I talk here with people that also like to talk about these days, keep the faith or whatever so don't tell me where to post.

PD: I edited the comment about a reason you shouldn't post NO for. It was a concept mistake. Sorry. I was trying to say "If you know that they are going to release bad albums and bad songs, don't post NO just to see what that BAD songs are like.."
