Default Mr Big fans????

I posted this at bon jovi.com and didn't get much of a response...

I was a fan of this band (didn't have enough chance of becoming a major
fan since they broke up before I really got into their music but I was...

Wanting to see how many more Mr Big fans we have out there in the
big wide world...

What songs are your favourites?

How many times did you get to see them live?

I used to like Mr Big in the early nineties. Fave songs were "to be with you" and "just take my heart". The lead singer was gorgeous though!

Mr. Big - could talk about them for hours... I've really liked the band since 1992 but sort of forgot about them for a while... But now I'm really into them again. They're excellent musicians, it's a pity they broke up Billy Sheehan is a great bass player, Pat Torpey amazing on drums, Paul Gilbert a great guitarist, and of course Eric Martin's voice is ... well amazing (I'm short for adjectives today it seems) To me Paul Gilbert is the only real guitarist for the band.

My absolutely fave song is Daddy brother lover little boy, it's... yeah, amazing also Colorado Bulldog, Just take my heart, Addicted to that rush, Voodoo kiss, Rock and roll over... The whole Lean into it is superb.

I used to be a fan of Pat Torpey's but nowadays my focus is more on Billy Sheehan (wonder why ). I never got to see them live ( ), they must've rocked live!!! But I'm hoping to see Billy Sheehan live one day... And maybe they'll get back together for a tour or something in Europe one day (a girl can dream )

So, in short, yes there are other Mr. Big fans here

Being a bassplayer myself I think Billy Sheehan is cool!
Such a talented bassplayer!

Wouldn't mind playing like him in the future (working on it...)

I only have the Bump Ahead album and I like Colorado bulldogs, Wild world and a couple of others...

Wanting to get Billy's solo works now...

You should get Lean into it definitely, it's their best album (altho admittedly I haven't heard them all)!!! And also try to look for Mr. Big Live video, it's recorded in San Fransisco 1992, and it's amazing If you like Billy, you're gonna love the video!!! I have bits of it, and am looking for it on the Internet...

If you get to play like him there's a job for you in England.....

Don't know how many solo albums Billy's got out, I have the new one. Can't even remember the title now, maybe it's Camelian, but it rocks. Great bass and guitar work from Billy on the album. Plus a great Steve Vai guest solo on there!

I am a fan. The best thing about them is the fact that although all of them are technically great, they can write simple memorable songs.

Listen to 'Stay Together' from their greatest hits. That is one hell of a song.

Mainly a rock band..... Although the main influence in the sound is in my eyes Deep Purple, there are lots of complex fills and riffs which move into strange time signatures.... The type of thing where you have a simple chorus that the band are going along to, then maybe on an off beat, bass, keyboards and guitar will do a difficult/fast fill over two bars, in three part harmonies, whilst the drummer just goes nuts....

It's also more of a dream than a band, there's me and Tom, and nobody else so far.... However Sept 19th Uni starts, and I'll have posters up in every halls/lecture threatre... out of several 1000 there's gotta be somebody who rocks and plays drums/bass!
