Interesting song and pretty great one. First, Tico as a songwriter and second, who is Bill Grabowski? I've tried to do some research about that guy but can't find anything.

Here's a Tico quote from 1986, talking about the creation of the song.

Check out: https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/rick_and_the_rivals

"Bill graduated from West Chester University, taught music, and shared an apartment with Jon Bon Jovi while living in New York City. During that period he collaborated with Bon Jovi on several songs and has gold-record award (on the walls of the recording studio he operates in Brownstown, PA) for 7800° Fahrenheit. He was also Grammy-nominated for arranging and producing "Send Her Roses" by The Jan Lewan Band. LegitSound Studio is his full-time business today."

As far as I can tell, the LegitSound Studio may no longer be in business.

Thanks! Did not know that! Interesting that he lived with Jon. Wonder if there’s any way to get in touch with the guy. Would be cool to hear about his involvement from the man himself!

Something very fun about Tico's only two inclusions having the word "Dream" in the song titles.

You have a point on that!

The whole album was a mess from the very beginning.
In addition, T has a song that he wrote with Franke and the Knockouts that I cannot recall at this point. The album is solid for me, and most of the songs are really good, so I'm not sure why Jon keeps it hidden.

Tico appears to be on background vocals on all songs from the album credits.

On the other hand, the mention of telephone calls seems super early 80s. Seemed to be a hip thing to mention back then. It's fun!
These posting made me think of how long it has been since I listened to 7800°F.
https://www.udiscovermusic.com/stori...renheit-album/ This is what Jon said about the album later. I found it strange that in this article Richie is referred to as a "Guitar figurehead". The article is current (2022), but what Jon said about the album was from 1996. I figure the feeling about the album was because the record company had the band under pressure. Also it was an album before "The Album".

100% Agree.

I posted something similar years ago.

Those first two albums don't nearly get as much credit as they deserve for whatever reasons.

Jon's vocals alone ar worthy enough not to mention the killer guitars, catchy hooks and melodies.
