without bragging

7 years

anything

within reason. can't play some (i admit.... much of) vai or uli jon roth... but that's because it's so darn hard

but i'd rather be able to closely resemble blackmore/page than vai/satriani anyday

Oh really? I thought everything was hard to play because it's all so easy...

Anyway, the more you learn, the less you know. I've been playing for 17 years, but I wouldn't say I can play anything. I can play about anything, but not quite right. Richie is possibly the on guitarist that I can imitate best, along with Ace Frehley, but being able to play stuff doesn't make you good.

And I remember the time when I thought I could play anything. I've since learned that I can't.

But hey, check out www.freezezone.com if you need Bon Jovi tabs. That's a good way to start learning.

Oh yeah. You have to define "playing". It's not about chords or riffs to me, you have to be able to play he WHOLE song to be able to "play" anything. Which is why I don't really believe in your lists. Sorry guys, but even I don't know how to play "everything on Bounce", since there's so many guitars layered that you can't make out all the different bits and pieces and you certainly can't play them with one guitar. That's why they use samples live...

Hey! I have been playing guitar for 10 years now. First I started at the local music school with an acoustic guitar, which I still play and are teaching it at that school on school holidays I got my first real six string, electric guitar when I was 10... though I didn't know how to use it at first, but now I can say, that I can play almost everything Just give me the time... I'm using a custom made Sever guitar (a Slovenian custom guitar maker), which has got the Floyd Rose system, dimarzio pick-up's and a nice solid body. It totaly rocks anyway... And I have got an Epiphone Les Paul studio edition just for the case, if my baby stops at any time You can have a great guitar, but you really need good effects (Boss GT-5) and a nice box, like mine (Fender deluxe)... That keeps the guitar in a great mood, no sound
