Default Live Audio Releases

Hello everyone. Im a new poster after enjoying the reading for a while. Thank you all, and I hope that this post is acceptable and can give a little back for some. Ive been the biggest fan of the band since the mid-eighties and pretty much obsessed until the early to mid-noughties. Since then Ive still bought the albums and kept an overview but havent found that much to really love, which is to be expected. As the touring comes to a timely end (I really hope it does now, at least in the traditional arena and stadium manner and/or a miracle occurs with Jons voice), Ive again been exploring all the previous live recording releases.

Years I waited for a live album, what I envisaged to be the ultimate live release, a classic album to better their contemporaries and to show everyone what Id seen each time I went to a concert. Every single (7/12/cd) for me was about the live versions they included and every broadcast (radio/tv) was about which would be the best recording or version of songs to release. The live album I eventually got came much too late and wasnt what I wanted. It was a collection of b-sides (albeit good quality) that didnt include much from the glory years in my mind (86 to 96) and wasnt the end to end show/concert experience I envisaged.

When OWN Live came out I changed it to a double cd. All recordings are official audio releases and I changed volumes/EQ/intros where required.

Lay Your Hands On Me (New Jersey, 1989)
Livin On A Prayer (Zurich, 2000)
You Give Love a Bad Name (Zurich, 2000)
Always (London, 1995)
Something For The Pain (Melbourne, 1995)
Just Older (Toronto, 2000)
In And Out Of Love (Tokyo, 1985)
Living In Sin (Florida, 1989)
Rockin In The Free World (Johannesburg, 1995)
I Dont Like Mondays (London, 1995)
Its My Life (Toronto, 2000)
Wanted Dead Or Alive (New York, 2000)
Bad Medicine (Zurich, 2000)
House Of The Rising Sun (New Jersey, 1995)
Keep The Faith (New York, 2000)

Someday Ill Be Saturday Night (Melbourne, 1995)
Ill Be There For You (Florida, 1989)
Tokyo Road (Rio, 1990)
Hey God (Melbourne, 1995)
Something To Believe In (Yokohama, 1996)
I Believe (Nuremburg, 1995)
Stranger In This Town (New Jersey, 1993)
Dry County (Milton Keynes, 1993)
Captain Crash (Osaka, 2000)
Born To Be My Baby (New York, 2000)
Runaway (Tokyo, 1985)
Lay Your Hands On Me (Toronto, 2000)

Ten years later, I added another two cds with recordings I had wanted to include or had obtained since. The majority are official audio releases with a couple you tube type downloads that had lived long in the memory.

TOKYO ROAD (Tokyo, 1985)
WILD IN THE STREETS (London, 1995)
BORN TO MY BABY (Milton Keynes, 1993)
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME (Milton Keynes, 1993)
SILENT NIGHT (Tokyo, 1985)
WE GOT IT GOING ON (New Jersey, 2010)
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS (Montreal, 1994)
ITS ONLY ROCK N ROLL (New Jersey, 1993)
GET READY (Tokyo, 1985)
THE HARDEST PART IS THE NIGHT (Tokyo, 1985)
SOLOS/IN AND OUT OF LOVE (Tokyo, 1985)
BLOOD ON BLOOD (London, 1988 )
RUNAWAY (Paris, 1988 )

ROULETTE (Tokyo, 1985)
BACK DOOR SANTA (New York, 1987)
SOMETHING FOR THE PAIN (Florida, 1995)
KEEP THE FAITH (London, 1995)
BREAKOUT (Tokyo, 1985)
SEVEN DAYS/SOCIAL DISEASE (London, 1990)
BLAZE OF GLORY (New Jersey, 1992)
FATHER TIME (California, 1991)
ONLY LONELY (Rehearsal in Japan, 1986)
SHOOTING STAR (London, 1990)
THESE DAYS (Johannesburg, 1995)
LIVIN ON A PRAYER (Florida, 1993)
WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE (Florida, 1993)
NEVER SAY GOODBYE Acoustic Version (Florida, 1993)

Ive since made more live cds and spent a fair bit of time on them (running order and quality-wise) grouping them into the best of the rest, and nineties, noughties, broadcast etc collating everything I thought worthy of repeated listening, using official releases including back to my old vinyl, and bootlegs from my original cassette tapes. Let me know if any interest in more details and/or the sharing of anything in my post.

From this forum (and my main reason for posting so apologies for the length of it)!...I finally learnt about Eggs And Whiskey, the name of the proposed and unreleased live album. I anticipated THE live album in 1990, to accompany Access All Areas and I heard Jon say at the time it was ready to go but he decided against it at the last minute. When four or five excellent live songs were released on the first few Keep The Faith singles, I thought they were it and Id be slowly getting that live album…but they stopped and new (poorer) live versions were released instead. After about the last two months of being inspired by the forum and the Live Releases thread, this is my Eggs And Whiskey, from the New Jersey Tour that significantly impacted my life. All comments appreciated and very welcome.

Thank you, great to be here. Yes, that thread is very comprehensive and inspired me with my post and with what Ive been revisiting lately. Jon's my hero all over again!...and erm, Im nearly 50! The topic really helped consolidate and contextualise my knowledge and memories, and also filled in a few blanks/discrepancies in my head!
