They don't call this guy "Hands Without Shadows" for nothing. He's my favorite guitarist and one of the best shredders of all time. He's the first one to have invented and sucesfully play the "Double Axe" guitar, he even plays both sides in harmony.

technically he's brilliant but in the end, it's just someone playing incredibly fast, there's no real substance in it.

That's not true actually.
Have you ever heard any of his songs? If so you'll find that you're wrong, yes he shreds but there's always a melody to it, he doesn't just play fast compared to some other guitarists

I'm not jealous at all. the guy is an absolutely incredible guitarist, doesn't mean I'll necesarilly like his stuff. everything i've heard so far has been technically impressive but incredibly shallow IMO. I don't dig steve vai or anyone like that either. just not my bag.

santana once said you can say more with one meaningful note that a thousand ones without feeling.

in my opinion there's no substance, for me it's nothing but a guy playing really really fast with nothing much else to it. your mileage may vary.

not alot of people think busted have any substance and that's fine, doesn't mean I can't like them and think they've got more to offer than their singles would suggest.
