I think he meant that Richie signed it, and right on the front of the guitar. He's not a fan of that, and I'm not exactly a fan of that either.

It goes a bit beyond that. He made some other not-so-nice comments about Richie/the band prior to that in earlier videos.

I tried finding those a bit earlier but couldn't. Where they done on his fretted america videos??

I have to admit, I was very impressed with the guy when I first heard him play, but he's even more repetitive than Richie, if that's possible....

Yah. I saw them long before he got involved on the Circle tour. Don't forget his connection with the band goes back a little further than '10. He was involved with Aldo Nova in the early 90's and played on the Levon cover so he's not just random guy that was good enough to take Richie's place.

I don't recall exactly what he said, it was more or less how they're not his cup of tea. I remember he used the old expression "Don't bore us, get to the chorus" or something.

oh, sounds like the guy was just giving his opinion and being his usual silly self. Nothing really wrong with that and nothing really overly offensive towards Richie or the band so no wonder why Jon chose him and overlooked that....

Naw, you're right. I don't think he HATED the band or anything, it just wasn't his preferred style of music is all.
