Correct. I hear Dave really clearly on it. It sounds like Richie and Dave on the chorus.

Here is my take on Alec...

Prior to joining Bon Jovi, Alec was in a Queen cover band. Jon stated that 'they could do Queen better than Queen'

Sure Hugh is the better studio musician but he's as flat as they come as a touring musician...

As Bon Jovi were still defining their style, not only did Alec offer a cool stage presence, especially during the 80s, but he also had the falsetto... I miss those times when they used to harmonized as a quartet... I Don't Wanna Go Home and Drift Away were on another level...

I just think Alec and Jon were on different pages after the 80s burn out... Alec was very diva like and lazy...

Although you gotta respect Jon's work ethic something tells me that's he's a pain in the ass to work for.
