Personally quite like Walls and WWWU. I did originally like Walls more as I felt it was slightly different but I much prefer WWWU now. As always, I think it's the production that's the problem.

I'm still a big fan of THINFS as an album in all honesty. It's obviously not as good as when it first come out for me but I still think it has some solid songs. A mixture of BB and THINFS as we've said in the past would be a great album.

I'm not sure how I feel on the band being back in the studio. I'll always welcome new material but what's Jon got to write about? What's he going to sound like? How different will it be? Is it going to be released in time for European tour or after?

Agree that Walls was the better of the newer 2.

So JBJ is writing with Shanks, IIRC in that Australia Q&A, JBJ said about Phil X's writing "it's just not neccesary"
Who knows what JBJ’s “artistic needs” now are but I would like the new album to sound kinda like a live record and beside good melodies and lyrics I also would like memorable guitar solos

Not only that, I don't think it would fit right now anymore. I'm all for changing things up, but going back to Bob Rock isn't the solution in my eyes. Plus he's also done a couple of records after Bon Jovi that were quite bad sound wise in my book.

The difference is Bob Rock is not a yes man. He will not just agree with whatever Jon wants, he will challenge him and push him. And for that reason he would get the best out of Jon, rather than Shanks who just basically does whatever Jon wants. He also understands the dynamic of a rock band, and would not just focus on all things Jon. I think Bob would also encourage more of an involvement from Phil...

Obviously Bob is working with Richie right now, so it's never gonna happen, but I'd take a Bob Rock produced Bon Jovi album over a Shanks one any day of the week!

I'd like on new album one song with the collaboration of Richie , but i think will not happen…..

I expect one album with sonority kind "Walls" , "Born Again Tomorrow" and "The Devil's In The Temple".

I don't know that Bob Rock wouldn't just go along with things at this point. There's no way of knowing how much input he had into making RSO better but that was a mish mash of styles, there's no reason to think something similar wouldn't happen if he worked with the band again.

RSO really has nothing to do with it, he came into that project very late when the songs were already written and a lot of it was recorded. If you've ever seen any footage of Bob in the studio he is very hands on and very opinionated, he certainly had his clashes in the studio when we worked with Metallica. I can't see Shanks really opposing anything Jon asks for...
