Default Suppose Jon knows about this?

Tickets for the 2 shows at Mohegan Sun are either $125 or $195. All the other shows have a ticket priced out at $40 or so. Whenever they play there they jack up the price of tickets.

Screw them. I'm done with this crap. I'll go see them for what I already have tickets for, but I am not paying that kind of money for a ticket. Does Jon's greed know no limits?

FTR, here are some ticket prices of other shows at that arena:

John Mayer - $56, $86
Rascal Flatts - $85, $115
Beach Boys - $25
Rob Zombie - $40
Kenny Rogers - $35
Rob Thomas - $46
J Geils Band - $50

Jon - You're a greedy dick.

Before I get jumped on, because I think those ticket prices are insane and ****ing greedy as hell, but do you have numbers for Mohegan for other artists of Jovi's stature (or the stature they think they are? I remember there was a similar problem with Billy Joel's shows up there last year.

If you are not willing to pay the price, stay at home. No one forces you to go and this is the only way to show the promoter that you are not agreeing to the prices.

It's also appalling that all the people on the fanclub site who have asked about this show have never had their questions answered. We still don't even know when the fanclub tickets go on presale - or even IF there will be a presale. <sigh>

No surprise there.

$195 for a ticket? Big deal. If you pay $40 you are gonna get a crappy seat. I'd be happy to pay $195, its nothing.
I'm expecting to pay around $400 for a front row seat when they come to Australia - not because of this talk about ticket prices, but because its front row and those seats cost a fair bit.

I think some of you are whinging about nothing, really. A couple hundred dollars is nothing. Quit complaining. No one is forcing you to pay for those tickets.

I would have no problem paying $40 for a crappy seat. As long as there was that option. Then I would agree - Nothing to complain about.

I'm very happy for you that a couple hundred dollars is nothing. For some of us, it's a lot.

In Australia, you do tend to pay $99 (before booking fees etc) minimum for any big name act if the artist's main demographic is older than about 15. So that's $99+ for a seat up the back basically. So I guess Makedde is used to that.

This is of course in AUD, and I haven't personally bought tickets to a show since the Aussie dollar was a fair bit worse than it is now. It's also pretty rare for most of these artists to come to Australia, as opposed to Bon Jovi touring America which they've done more or less every year this decade.

At any rate, people have every right to be pissed off.
