Default Is is true?

Hi everyone!
I almost couldn't believe when they told me. A friend of mine has told me that Huey McDonald played the bass in all of the album inlcuding those when Alec still in the band, excepting 7800 Fahrenheit (Bon Jovi, New Jersey, Slippery When Wet, Keep The faith). Is that true? He also told me that when Huey played in the studio Alec didn't and that Alec only played in some studio songs.I did get a shock when I check out the web site of Huey and in the discography says that he played in all of those albums .
Just check it out ok? http://www.hueymcdonald.com/discograhy.htm
What's going on? Was Alec just the bass guitar player on the live shows?

Huey played on Runaway. The rest of Bon Jovi is Alec on bass.

And there are rumours he played on all albums after 7800.

Maybe he worked with the band but i don't believe ALEC stopped playing in studio.

But this has been over-discussed.too bad there' no search button.

However, I prefer ALEC all the way!

It's no rumour, Huey confirmed it himself that he played on all albums except Fahrenheit. Recently he also said he wrote the bassline for Keep The Faith. You just prefer Alec because he's "so cool" for carrying guns on stage, making mistakes on stage and being drunk a lot of times on stage. Because that is what rock and roll is all about according to you.

Sebastiaan

blah blah...

Someone who can't even move on stage and who can't hold the bass decent should stay behind the scene.than I wouldn't have a problem with huey.

Alec was a cool bass player to watch...he made some mistakes...but their live shows were much better with Alec.
AND, Bon Jovi is not what I call a bass driven band so I don't really care who plays on the records.

One more question...when did Huey say he wrote the KTF bass line???

Did he say he worte the bass line for the whole album because I think KTF and 7800 are the only 2 albums that have reallay amazing...actually UNBELIVABLE good basslines.

yeh because how you hold an instrument makes a huge difference.....

there's a guy in the shadows who plays with the guitar almost upto his chin and he's a great all-round musician. you're just plain montonous.

It's true he worked on every album but nothing is said anywhere how much he did. It could be from playing all bass parts, to playing some bass parts to just giving some ideas for the bass parts that Alec played.

Because of the bass line of KTF (the song, not the whole album), he said that recently on his homepage in the Q&A answering a question of Lunasrose who also posts on this forum here.

Yeah... that's definitely more important than how well he can play the bass Not all is about looks and being cool, you know.
