Default Q Magazines 50 biggest bands of all time.

Based on biggest album, biggest headline gig, weeks on album and singles chart Q have compiled this list. The top 20 are as follows:
1.Pink Floyd
2.Led Zeppelin
3.The Rolling Stones
4.U2
5.Queen
6.Dire Straits
7.Bruce Springsteen & The E street Band
8.The Beatles
9.Bob Marley & The Wailers
10.Fleetwood Mac
11.The Eagles
12.The Beach Boys
13.Oasis
14.BON JOVI
15.Guns n' Roses
16.Nirvana
17.Genesis
18.The Bee Gees
19.Metallica
20.Boston

They've got Slippery as the biggest album with 12.9m sold, Hyde Park 2003 as the biggest gig, 80,000 (festivals not included) and they've been on the U.K album chart for 427 weeks.

It'll be a voted one by the readers anyway.

Oasis?...and above Bon Jovi??? Nirvana anywhere in the top 500? lol I can't stand either of those 2, and whereas I'm not fond of many of the others I think in terms of popularity they are all quite popular.

Oasis changed the music industry. Nirvana did that as well. Bon Jovi didn't.

Oasis were the icons of Britpop. Nirvana were the icons of grunge. Bon Jovi aren't the icons of hairmetal, Bon Jovi are just a rockband.

I can agree with that list. Not too sure about Oasis or The Bee Gees, but it seems pretty accurate.
