well i guess you could put Fields of Fire and Lets make it baby on there from the bonus These Days disk too.

andi

p.s

And i think your right, Fire Inside definately has a late 80s/early ninties feel to it, especially Jons voice. it even sounds a bit Blaze of Glory-ish to me.

There's no way I Get A Rush is ... the bj.com info dates it to 1996, which sounds about right for me, and makes it to late to be for TD. Someday Just Might Be Tonight and River Runs Dry are also too late (though I'd say that date for RRD is a bit cirumspect). I'd say The Fire Inside is almost definetly from 1990/91, despite what the bj.com list says. I personally think Ordinary People is a Crush song.

It's also quite likely that Letter To A Friend and Only In My Dreams are TD demos

I recall an interview years ago sayin Letter to a friend and Only in my dreams were '94, and maybe even demos for the new Crossroad song.

I get a Rush sounds '98ish to me, and I can't place why. It's definetely not TD based, it just doesn't fit.

Were there actually seperate Cross Road and These Days sessions? Or were they all just for some unspecified next album, and at some point someone thought "lets take a couple of these songs and put them on a Greatest Hits"?

[QUOTE=Living_on_my_Hair;729354]well i guess you could put Fields of Fire and Lets make it baby on there from the bonus These Days disk too.

they've always been new jersey demos for me, i dunno but they just don't sound very TD

[QUOTE = The Walrus] It's also quite likely that Letter To A Friend and Only In My Dreams are TD demos

i've always put those along with the crossroads songs and i've put gotta have a reason, real life, good guys and any other soundtrack songs with them, cos songs written for a film don't really have much of a album feel to them

not sure whether they were always goin to do a GH or trying to write a new album and couldn't get enough songs together in time, esp having had such a big gap after jersey maybe they wanted to hang onto the success of KTF while they had a new bunch of fans

also i've put Temptation under Crush but i think it sounds more like a TD song

Temptation is pretty much definetly either a Crush or Sex Sells demo, I forget which offhand

I'd say if you're counting LTAF and OIMD as Cross Road songs, then my gut instinct is that Nobody's Hero would go there as well

Temptation is one I'd say is Crush. Simply becase I don't beleive the band would recycle 5 year old demos for the sake of b-sides.

Nobodys hero was...94 I think an old interview said. And the only reason it had LOAP as a demo attached was because it was a bonus track. Regardless of which track would have ended disc 4, it would have had Prayer with it.

Yeah your right about the time they were recorded, Lets make it baby is obviously an 80s track, probably NJ era and Fields of Fire and KTF era track by the sounds of it.
