I was just wondering what everybodys reactions to past Bon Jovi albums was at the time of their release.. There was never anything like these message bords available to me back at the time of say These Days so im wondering if itz just the normal for people to moan a bit about the latest album, whether is branding it 'pop' or 'not as good as the classic stuf' etc Did These Days get attacked by the fans/critics for 'trying to be different' etc or was it well recevied? Both Crush and Bounce have been centre of many a discussion here for ''selling out'' , ''going pop'' ''to mainstream'' and all that bollox. Was Keep The Faith attacked for Jovi cutting their hair and tryin a new sound etc?
Or maybe itz just in peoples' nature to find faults in everything..i dunno!

I only know for TD, Crush, OWN live and Bounce. When I talked about
TD with my family and friends they said they liked it a lot. It was a real good album with great lyrics and good music. They liked Crush a lot since it was a new Bon Jovi album and they were really surprised they liked it so much. My uncle bought OWN live and said he only really liked Runaway and IAAOL, and about Bounce, well...I can't name a person near me who likes it except Thierry. My aunt and her daughters all think it's a boring album with only 2 good songs on it...Yes, again...Bounce and Undivided.

At the time KTF was released, it was the grunge era of music (Nirvana etc) BJ were doing the same music but not going down the grunge road. They still sounded like BJ in 1992 and alot of the fans then appreciated it. They gained more fans from KTF.

I remember when these days was released, I read a review in Kerrang magazine and they ripped it to peices for being too slow. That album was a grower for me when, i first heard it I was that impressed but now its one of my fave cd's

I loved crush when i first heard it and still do. It also got a few of my friends listening to the band again, I think "its my life" had a lot to do with that
