This song sounds even more amazing after smoking a joint - it really is.

This song is absolute masterpiece. Lyrics, music, singing... The way the song flawes. Absolute brilliance.

Musically, its like an orgasm.

Tremendous song. Awesome lyircs, great vocals, great music. Not sure how well it would go over live. And for the record I love "Diamond Ring". To me, the songs that bring "These Days" down a wee bit are the "(It's Hard) Letting You Go", "If That's What It Takes", and "Hearts Breaking Even". I know that makes me unpopular, but I can't stand any of those three.

I've already liked more "Letting you go" and "Hearts breaking even".
Today, I just listen to them sometimes.
"If that what it takes" is the opposite. I really like that song now.

Love the song. Lyrics, guitar work, Jon's voice are all excellent on it.

Bitter Wine is one of the best songs on These Days. Only These Days song I don't really like is Something For The Pain ehich is still good.

Yeah, GREAT song! While "These Days" was Jon's favourite from the album, this was Richie's. In that same interview from 1996 they talked about thinking to release it as a 6th single off TD. But I guess the end of the tour and the boys taking a break eliminated these plans.

They played it a few times in 1996, not only Yokohama. I was in Frankfurt 1996, and while they played nearly everything off TD, I was waiting to hear "My Guitar" all the time, but we didn't get it that night. I'm just a bit annoyed that the live version sounds so different to the album version, like Jon is not careful enough with the melody. Same thing is with the live version of "Stick To Your Guns" from 1988. It's nice, but you think Jon could put more passion into it.

Anyone of you that are going to a show in London or New York, really should put this song in a banner for a request!
