"We've been loyal to our fans by playing every market and coming to see all the people that have been loyal to us," said guitarist Richie Sambora. "Another reason Bon Jovi is still around is that we write
songs that people can get their heads and their hearts around. You
have to evolve but you also have to be true to yourself. If Bon Jovi
ever put scratching on a record or tried to make a Pink Floyd album,
our fans would just go 'bulls--'."
I have to say that i disagree with THE man there. That sounds like the type of thing a record producer would say - i don't think richie knows fully what the fans are at the moment - because most support the band regardless giving the impression that because they like the new direction, they'd dislike anything else...? i do disagree

i hate scratches and stuff like that on albums - but as far as i'm aware the band have done that on a song like save the world - and numerous drum loops etc - and some fans have gone "bull----"

if they tried to make a pink floyd album - i'd love it because success or failure it would show the band trying to do something new, and inventive...

I have to agree with you Letitrock. My opinion is this- If they wanted to try something new, I'd be interested in hearing it. Now each and every fan wouldn't be pleased, but that's the chance you take. Creativity. To me, innovation is much better than constant repetition. Sometimes dry white toast gets stale and boring....variety is the spice of life.

BTW, Pink Floyd is awesome!!! Grew up listening to them. Their stage show was cool too!

He said he wouldn't do a PINK FLOYD album... he wasn't saying anything good about them.
I hope Jovi will never do a Pink Floyd album, NEVER!

well they're not good enough to do a Pink Floyd album at all...

they desperately need to try something new though - and I would class going back to the 80s style as being new since what they are doing at the moment is drastically different

Come on...not even you believe that Jovi couldn't do a Floyd album. It's just not their style. That's the same like saying: METALLICA are not good enaugh to sing a PAVAROTTI song.
And besides I don't see anything special about Pink Floyd. I think for example SAGA is a much better Progressive band but they are so underrated.Pink Floyd,to say it in their way,is juat another brick in the world, nothing special....N O T H I N G !!!
