That "someone" was me. Since we don't have the dates yet, I would not be surprised if that's the real reason for the delay. I can already imagine the tour press release beginning with "Global icons and HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES Bon Jovi will take the world by storm once again in 2018...." If Jon thinks that bragging about a Hall of Fame Induction in a tour press release will help the band sell more tickets, he is delusional at best. You don't sell more tickets JUST BECAUSE you are in the Rock Hall of Fame. You sell more tickets because of the quality of your music and your live performances.
Yes and no. Going out on tour to support an album the general public ignored isn't as big a deal as being pushed back into the public's eye. Their exposure is going to get a much needed kick in the ass because people will be focussing on ALL their accomplishments from beginning to now. They won't sell tickets just because, they'll sell tickets because people will realize they're still out there.

It was just a suggestion of mine with regard to the prolonged waiting for the announcement. It was not a "self-inflicted opinion I cooked up". In what I see as a gazillionth attempt of mine to engage in a fruitful discussion with other fans here, it's a dismal failure every single time.

Your theory makes sense. I can definitely see them holding out so they can add “inductees” in the tour announcement.

Here, is Jon's view of touring from now on: https://www.billboard.com/articles/c..._source=Direct

So what kind of long view perspective does the Rock Hall induction give you about your career and what you've accomplished?

Y'know, it's like the last coda. Now it's like, "Well, what else do you want to do?" And all I really want to do at this point is continue to do it to the best of my ability. I always said I wasn't going to pretend to be something I wasn't, and I'm not gonna go out there and be the fat Elvis. If I can't do it at the level to which I've become accustomed, I'm gone. But as long as I can do it and be healthy and happy doing it, I'll keep doing it. I'm not going to be doing the 150-show tours anymore; I just don't have the desire. This year was very civilized by our standards; We did 40 shows. I'll do the same next year. If I can just do that every year, we get to enjoy it. It doesn't beat you up and we still get to do what we love to do and at the level we love to do it.

Right way to go, some fans are going to be disappointed if they miss out, but it's to preserve his voice and he's tired doing long tours now he is older, interested though what happens with the farewell tour when that eventually happens.

Default Bon Jovi in south France

Jon was recently tasting wines at this estate. I think he is planning to take part in this "jazz festival" this summer. Mark my words if I m the first to predict it

The band already played in Russia in the Moscow Peace Festival in 1989. I know that back then it was called USSR but still.

Why haven't they announced dates yet? They've already been inducted in the Hall of Fame.
