That's fair enough.. I don't deny he is popular.

Just not my thing

Yep, I know what you mean. There are lots of artists out there that I respect and recognize as as great, but their music is not my thing. Lady Gaga comes to mind. She can sing, play, perform, write and act, but I don’t like her music. Yet I consider her one of the biggest artists/performers of this generation.

So weird that you mention lady gaga. I go to Vegas every year and she has a residency over there and I am the same as you.. Totally respect how big she is and have actually thought about seeing her.. I just don't think I'd enjoy it as don't like her music.

Oasis easily the worst band that I’ve ever seen live.

Going back to the subject ...

Jon and Tico are both at their physical limits. ItÂ’s clear that both canÂ’t handle the average 2+ hours gigs on a nightly basis anymore. Up until 2013, IÂ’d never thought that Bon Jovi was anywhere near of calling it a day, however I do think thatÂ’s not a very distant possibility now. I donÂ’t see Richie coming back for a farewell tour, and I do believe that the next album tour will be their last. Although they are not my cup of tea anymore, IÂ’d be happy to attend one last show to say goodbye to my favorite band. I reckon Richie might show up at their very last show at least ...

Sums up music in the last twenty years or so: even someone as talented as Lady Gaga, who can sing, play, perform, write and act, is known for awful and simple pop songs and for wearing a dress made out of meat...give me Take That any day, at least Gary Barlow wrote decent pop songs.

Are you saying that Jon doesn't have crowds eating from the palm of his hands anymore? Yes, his voice is shot to hell, but he's still a great, charismatic performer and frontman.

No, that's not what I said at all.

Liam Gallagher's proof you don't need to dance around, flash smiles, point a mic at a crowd to get a crowd engaged at a show. You really can't be a terrible front man if you've defined the mid-nineties. You've got to be doing something right.

It's why I never understood the "Jon isn't moving" criticism posted on this board so many times. Just sing the songs and look like you enjoy it. If you've got to dance around to make up for the lack of quality on the sole reason you're there to begin it's really not about the music, is it?

Then again, Oasis is kind of a band you really get, or you really don't. If you don't, there's not much entertainment value at all. Not in the songs nor in their (lack of) stage antics.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Yes, this is sad. I wonder what the music scene will be in 20 years from now.
