The chord structure is so unoriginal and that stupid Shanks Edge-type guitar with no solo for the millionth time is sooo irritating. Still have hope the lyrics will be inspiring though (not).

Total rubbish.
It is quite frustrating indeed, album after album since a looong time now (I'd say it started around the HAND era) with that generic sound and the constant rehash of the same lyrics and meaning behind the songs.

With a few good tunes with some originality, but they're becoming rare as time goes by.

To me it's really all about laziness, I can't imagine that the guy that wrote stuff like Dry County or songs on These Days can't do it again anymore.

The first lyrics we've seen from Limitless are more of the same.

I wonder how Jon's voice will sound. This is the typical song that will have an overproduced mix, so I hope it sounds like WWWU and Walls that not bad..... and I hope it's not as horrible as Unbroken.

Yeah, then Jon says in repeated interviews that he doesn't want to continue making songs like You Give Love a Bad Name or Living On a Prayer at his age, however he has been using the same template (Its my Life) for 20 years to get a hit.

The saddest thing is that it is usually the highlight of their albums. If Jon did not continuously repeat those cliché words, It could aspire to be a great song.

Am I bummed that Bon Jovi dont have Richie? Yes, but not as much as the other 2. For some reason, Jon made BJ mainly about himself. Maybe due to the name Bon Jovi?
Joe Perry has played a million solos but not one memorable one [They all seem like on the spot improvisations in the key of the song]. He is all style over substance. Slash, while being the most overrated guitarist ever, has written a ton of memorable solos. But Slash can't even talk, much less sing.

Agree on this. Richie was the key part in BJ because of his voice. Not many rock bands have that.

Like the guitars in the chorus.

But it’s that same twangy guitar that’s been on the last few albums everywhere else. BJ now has a riff-tactic guitarist in Phil x yet Jon goes for the Shanks twang.
Really hoping as this was mistakenly uploaded the final version has a solo. If not then it will be another let down.

Don’t get me started on the programmed drums. Horrible.
