I know it's a stupid question, but please someone help me!
One of the weirdest things I found out when I joined this forum recently is the love for 'Have A Nice Day' album. I don't hate this album, but don't like it, some of the songs from it (like Novocaine, Complicated, I Wanna Be Loved) I hate and I consider it one of their weakest albums if not the weakest. I'm not a fan of Lost Highway, it gets trashed here, but I found it much more enjoyable than HAND. Someome explain me, why is HAND so great in many people's opinions?

I'm a big HAND fan but I wouldn't say that it's really loved all that much here?

The short reason why I like it is because it helped me through a tough time, corny as that sounds.

I love HAND as well and consider it their best in the 2000's. TC comes close but there are no stinkers like WWBTF or WFTWM on it. And I wann be loved and Novocaine are great tracks in my book!

I live HAND. The title track, Story of my life, I wanna be Loved, Last man Standing, I am, Last Ciggarette, bells of freedom.... in fact I think the only song in it I don't like is Welcome to wherever you are, and even that one I think it's passable.

I don't really know what else to say, but it's an album I can ejoy from start to finish, it's upbeat, the lyrics (aside from Complicated) are great, not overly great but effective. Plus them playing the album tracks on tour provided us with a really upbeat show, one that doesn't seems to be happening when you have songs like, Beautiful and Superman playing back to back early in the set...

Worst album in my opinion. Despise it.

I think 'Bells Of Freedom' is the strongest track by miles but you're not allowed to say that as it's very similar to 'This Ain't A Love Song'.

Besides that, 'Novocaine' and 'I Want To Be Loved' are good. 'Wildflower' is a guilty pleasure. That's it for me.

Every other song in my opinion is shockingly awful.

There's a lot of crap on HAND to be honest but I prefer it to the last 2 studio albums.

I love the snare drum sound on this album, it has a lovely pop to it.

Novocaine, Last Cigarette, I Am, Dirty Little Secret, and on a lesser scale the title track and Last Man Standing make it worth it. Rest is meh or shite.

To be honest, it is not a favorite of mine. In fact, recently I think it maybe my worst of the 00's, apart from LH. I like HAND, Bells and Last Cig, but other than that I don't really like it. Also I try to avoid Who Say's like the plague as whenever I listen to that song I end up singing it's alright, it's alright, who says you can't go home, for the next three days.
