Default Carry on, Jon

No! It has nothing to do with our Jon Bon. It's just a little instrumental piece that Ritchie Blackmore wrote when he found out that Jon Lord died (these are founding members of Deep Pueple just in case!)

It's on Blackmore's Night most recent record called Dancer and the Moon (medieval folk rock, but quite listenable actually).

This instrumental piece is out of this world though. Gave me chills when I first heard it. So I thought I'd share it. Does it deserve it's own thread? Maybe...it's certainly worth talking about.

I'm no expert, however, I've been on a huge Maiden kick lately, and I gotta say, my fav Maiden tunes right now are Aces High and Prowler. From the newer stuff, Rainmaker and For The Greater Good Of God stand out. Very good band.

You are right - the tone on this is just epic. Still listen to it occasionally and still gives me the shivers. Ritchie Blackmore should put out some rock music again! High time...
