Nah. Not a fan. Makes me feel better that they didn't play Leeds/Reading when I hear their new stuff.

I still don't see the Aerosmith comparison, I did think it sounded like another band when listening to it the other day though, although I can't quite remember which, perhaps AC/DC?

It's a bit repetetive, but pretty cool, nothing really special though. Pretty standard Morello guitar solo. Reasonable lyrics and overall theme

It seems to be kinda fashionable to dislike Audioslave at the moment, but I'll reserve judgement until hearing the rest of the album

I was caught by surprise hearing it on the radio the other night. Cornells voice is still recognizable and will give it the 'Audioslave' stamp.

Don't hear anything of interest in the lyrics, melodies, guitar, or vocals.

It's not a bad song. Just a bad song for being a Cornell/Morello composition. IMO.

So is the whole album. The only track I do like, is the title track. I couldn't care less for all the other tracks. ****ing hell.

For how long do you suppose I could pretend it just isn't so, provided I never ever listen to this album?

For the rest of your life, if you play it well - you know; just don't listen to the album then.

...and don't read any posts about AS ...
...and don't listen to radio ...

... and don't book tickets for their live shows ....

I like your optimism
