Wow, really tough on the family. It's going to be tough on them for years to come. Passing on around this time is so sad. RIP James.

Shocking indeed. After being hospitalized last night, his agent said that he will continue his concerts next week.

Sad. And its Christmas Day.

R.I.P. James Brown - The Godfather of Soul...singer, songwriter, legend.

Damn it, I'm shocked, he was in such good health - but pneumonia is that wild card that can knock off the healthiest of people...

I saw him a year or two ago at The Molson Amphitheatre, and I'm glad I got the chance to see a legend...

R.I.P.

Oh too bad - I'm sorry to hear it. He always seemed ageless. RIP James.

I saw him live at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium in June 2004 supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I was amazed at his performace and how he could still move like that at his age. This is a real shock especially on Christmas Day. I'm not exactly a huge fan of his music but even people like me who aren't can still apreciate him and like some of his songs, and I'm glad I got to be standing just a few metres away from him!
