I prefer I got the girl out of the two. Wildflower's lyrics irritate me and thematically it's too much like Mystery Train and She's a Mystery. Once he gets into the opposite game (she's an only child but she has brothers, she's fire I'm gasoline) it's just lazy songwriting. "She wakes up when I sleep to talk to ghosts like in the movies" is a really cool lyric though.

To me I got the Girl is just pure fun. The way they repeat the chorus over and over again with those big organs, I love singing along to that one.

Yep, never liked I Got The Girl.

Did I?? Ah man, I gotta find that thread. I remember really liking it for awhile but haven't been able to stand it lately. Hah, I have to find this.

EDIT: I don't think that was me. I did a search and went back as far as 2008.

I wouldn't put it that high but that is a great song.

I was never all that crazy about Cruch. If IML wasn't included, what's left. Thank You lacks vocal passion. 2 Story and Next 100 is the same song. Just Older is kind of annoying coming from a 38 year old BJ who looked 28. Save the world was perfect for Armageddon and that's it. OWN is a decent song but lacks a catchy chorus. Say it Isn't So is good live but its the same way I feel about I'm With You (see other thread).

Overall its an ok album. The fact that it rocks adds to it but similar to Shanks, this one is a little over the top with production too. I'm not really crazy about Ebbin's production on Aftermath either.

I feel the same about both albums. I like them, they rock, but they just don't move me like prior albums do.

In what way are they similar?

I've always thought Say it isn't so sucked live. The guitar needed more distortion and groove.

That's probably the most ridiculous statement I've ever read on this board.

I'm going down in a 2 story town but I'll be standing here for the next 100 years. Its the same formulated type song lyrically. Its also got the same music style due to the production. Go listen to both songs. You could literally mix them into one.

I like Jons vocals on the Say It Isnt So Zurich version. His voice is very radient.
