RYAN DUNN & DON VITO TOUR!
(CAST MEMBERS OF VIVA LA BAM & JACKASS)
FEATURING OPEN HAND, FIGHT PARIS
& DISENGAGE
SPONSORED BY:

Ryan Dunn and Don Vito, cast members of MTVıs successful programs Viva La Bam and Jackass have announced a summer tour combining multi-media,
self-destructive behavior and music. Dunn who has been putting himself
through life or death stunts and pranks for his own amusement and the
audiences delight has been doing these live tours for the past four years.
While many of those shows were accompanying cast members such as Steve-O and Bam Margera, this tour will mark Dunnıs first time as a headliner.
Along for the ride is Bamıs lovable and large Uncle, Don Vito who has been at the receiving end of many of the pranks on Viva La Bam. A night of DIY
stunt-work, video projectors, crowd participation and live rock, the show
will follow Dunn who co-owns record label Fractured Trans, working under the
guise of a stalwart rock promoter trying to bring an arena rock show to 600
capacity clubs.

The bandıs on the tour include Open Hand whose sound obliterates the
boundaries between stoner rock, hardcore and garage rock with the velvety
voice of Justin Isham at the helm. The group, who released their new album
³You & Me² on Trustkill Records recently completed tours this year with My
Chemical Romance, The Juliana Theory, Kinison and Idiot Pilot. Fight Paris
share the same spirit of debauchery as Dunn and Vito, combining elements of
Motley Crue and Guns N Roses dark alley rock in their style of hardcore.
Their debut album ³Paradise Found² will be released on Trustkill this summer
after the band completes the STRHESS Tour with Bleeding Through and Darkest Hour. Clevelandıs own Disengage rounds out the bill with their mesh of melodic post-hardcore with dark rock. The bandıs new album ³Application For An Afterlife² is on Fractured Trans Records.
Of the tour Dunn comments ³some people go on vacation and watch waves, I go on vacation from shooting, tour, make money and party with bands.² Vito, who is still recovering from having his boat capsized and being stranded in the middle of a river on a recent episode of Viva La Bam concurs ³This is the best job ever!²

In-between bands, Dunn and Don Vito will take the stage, utilizing live
performance and video segments. Dunn however claims that while 15% of the
performance is scripted, much of the nightıs events are decided on stage.
³This tour is like a choose your own adventure book.² He comments ³much of
what we do depends on the crowd and crowd participation. I always wish I
wrote down what I plan to do and Iım freaking out before a show but when I
get on stage, the energy the audience gives off decides what I will do in
the heat of the moment.² Some of these past shows included moments such as random audience hair-cuts from Dunn, Steve-O stapling his privates, flawed bike tricks landing the rider and the vehicle in the audience and a full
blown riot in Montreal which ended in riot police in full gear shutting down
the show, ³we still donıt know what happened there² Dunn insists.

One popular trick you can forget about seeing on this tour is Dunn
clothes-lining himself (while two cast members hold a rope taut he rides a
bike into it all full speed). While doing this maneuver, Dunn has
dislocated his left shoulder three times, his right one twice, broken his
wrist five times, broken blood vessels in his eyes and given himself a
concussion numerous times, leading to the trickıs retirement this year. Don
Vito who recently retired after 25 + years working 60 hours a week painting
cars in Philadelphia has become a
(cont from previous page) celebrity himself due to his appearances on the
MTV programs. As a result expect to see him use his newfound status to try
and pick up women at the shows and generally become very loud.
Dunn
comments on Vito whom he calls ³pickled and embalmed in liquor² by saying ³I donıt expect anything from Vito except to be foul and disgusting. Iıve
known Don most of my life, heıs almost like my Uncle, but I constantly find
myself telling him to calm down and shut up because he is drunk before the
show even starts. Itıs almost like having a heckler on stage the whole
night.² Don counters by saying that ³Dunn is the worst one out of all of
the Jackass crew, I canıt believe Iım going to be alone with him for an
entire tour!² The chemistry begins this August and continues to September.
