7) RICH MAN LIVING IN A POOR MAN'S HOUSE (Unreleased demo from 1998.) Recorded in New Jersey and Los Angeles with Dave Stewart.

Was Dave Stewart suppose to record JBJ's 3rd solo effort? ...I know how Crush came to be, but I didn't know DS did any work with JBJ after DA.

Obie did a LOT of work pleasing the hard cores with this box set and I will always appreciate the effort he did with this.
You are totally correct. I mixed up the years.

Yeah, it was a good effort, but I was very angry about many missed opportunities back then... I wanted all the NJ demos for instance that were floating around in poor quality and I hated how Obie stated that he didn't want to put them on the box because the hard-core fans already had them. I didn't. And I still don't in decent quality.

However, it includes songs like Breathe, Lonely at the Top, Edge of the Broken Heart, Good Guy's Dont Always Wear White, Ordinary People, Real Life (the album version from Edtv is better than the box set version) etc ....

I think they were aware of making two box set, and have reserved the material for the 30th anniversary or maybe the 40th anniversary. They would not put all the good in the first compilation.

The box set is just the perfect collection... 4 discs of music WAY better than last 4 albums xD We've should been listening to one new disc every 2 years and it would be something big

The mastering by George Marino is 10, perfect sound, are the best mixes of the entire catalog of Bon Jovi.

Regarding songs recorded between 96-99, what was their purpose?

After TD tour I thought they went separate ways as such to do solo albums/movies etc and re-convened for Real Life and later Crush.

Yeah, songs like Love is war, Does anbody really, etc. would be GREAT to have in more than just decent-to-good quality. Also Nothing from then HAND sessions is one of the best songs they ever did, but the best version I could find still has some distortion (from the cymbals and/or guitar) in the chorus

I guess most of 'em on the box set were just Jon's solo with other musicians.

The line between band and Jon's solo stuff is blurred very heavily. A LOT of the songs are Jon and his solo band.

Awesome Tune!!!!

This was an 80's tune, not 92.

On the Box Set Jon said this one had dust on it with We Rule The Night. He doesn't remember writing it and referred to it as the "earlier stuff" he doesn't necessarily like.
