Default Hey God

Ah, how I love this song. I happened to catch the video on TV last night, and it came to my attention that it was released 10 years ago this year ... and is probably to date the last truly great single that the band released (don't get me wrong, I think that It's My Life, Thank You For Loving Me, One Wild Night, EVeryday and Have A Nice Day are all really good, but they just all lack that certain something to make them truly great). I really think that rock channels such as Kerrang etc. should add this video to their playlists from time to time ... it would be a great video to convince people that there's more to the band than hair metal or pop-rock

Possibly the most pointless post ever, but I feel it had to be said

Only ever seen a snippet of the video from Bon Jovi.com as I've not registered. Don't remeber much of it apart from Jon has short hair. Never seen it on TV, not even on a 5 hour best of Bon Jovi on VH1. Yea it is truely a great song and single and I agree with teh Walrus about how different it is to their other singles.

Wish they would release a DVD of all their videos so I can watch this one and many others in their entirety.

I really love this song as well, although I will admit the entire TD record took awhile to catch on with me. It would be nice to see these songs show up now and again, but here in the US they never got played the first time around so it's doubtful we over here will ever see alot of these videos anywhere outside of our collections. I do agree that it might change some peoples minds about BJ being "only" a pop /rock band.

when I started listening to BJ, HeyGod was the first BJ song I have hard apart from Crush (which was a new record then) I din`t like it at first, I have to admit O because I wasn`t into rock at all when I started O but I absolutely love that tune since then it`s a great song.... but dunno if I have ever seen the video.
I have always loved TD, can`t decide if I like KTF or TD more....

Hey God rocks. I like the heavy driving riffs and the lyrics flow well. When you listen to it you really feel that the modern music is very tame in comparison. It's perhaps the only single apart from GGDAWW which is actually a hard rock song. I like it when Bon Jovi are rocking like that. Shame they don't do it anymore.

What about If I Was Your Mother? Or was there just a video but no single release?

IFIWYM was never a single, just a bonus video for the KTF video release.

I saw it on TV though!

And what about I Beleive and Keep The Faith? Those are pretty heavy IMO. Also RUNAWAY and IN AND OUT OF LOVE and HARDEST PART IS THE NIGHT. Also WANTED is a classical hard rock song.

You did? I was always under the impression it was just done for that home video release. Interesting.
