So I'm glad that with passing time, the fanbase grew more appreciative of this amazing song. Even if it's not my personal top favorite.
What's strange though, and this happened in multiple categories, is that the song that ended up winning, wasn't the song that got the most votes in the nominations phase.

For example, Undivided was the song that received the most votes (19) in the nominations phase for best post-2000 song, yet it finished 3rd in the voting for a winner phase.

The most drastic example of this was the Outtake category. Good Guys just scraped into the nominations list with 8 votes, yet it over took everyone in the second round of voting and won the award.

PHASE 1 VOTING - NOMINATIONS
15 Edge of a Broken Heart
14 Teardrop to the Sea
12 Radio Saved My Life Tonight
10 Walk Like A Man
9 Borderline
9 Stay
8 Neurotica
8 Save a Prayer
8 Dirty Little Secret
8 Good Guys Don't Always Wear White

PHASE 2 VOTING - RANKING
4.32 Good Guys Don't Always Wear White
4.46 Radio Saved My Life Tonight
4.60 Edge of a Broken Heart
4.98 Dirty Little Secret
5.22 Teardrop to the Sea
5.70 Save a Prayer
6.04 Borderline
6.12 Stay
6.34 Neurotica
7.22 Walk Like a Man

Another example is Have a Nice Day killed it for Best Artwork, receiving 30 votes in the nominations phase. The next highest was Keep the Faith with 20 votes. But in the end, Keep the Faith won when it came down to the ranking phase.

The only definite winner in both phases was the Dry County solo in the Best Song Moment in category. It received 26 votes in the first phase. The next closest moment was the Livin' on a Prayer key change with 9 votes. Wasn't even close!

Bahahaha!

I agree! I actually like Good Guys, Edge of a Broken Heart and Borderline better, but I was hoping Stay it would win. It really deserves the recognition.

Not my fault. I LOVE that song. (Although I'm not sure I rated it the highest. TBH, I had 3 really strong contenders for the top spots and I can't remember now which one I rated the best.)

This one surprised me - a little. I mean, Dry County is one of my favorites because of the solo. And it's no secret that it's a forum favorite. But I was surprised that the WDOA intro didn't win, or at least place 2nd behind LOAP, even acknowledging the love here for Dry County.

I agree the Dry County solo is f'n awesome. But unless you're a Bon Jovi fan, and perhaps only if you're a diehard, you probably wouldn't know it exists, much less how good it is. Whereas anybody who lived through the 80s would recognize the intro to WDOA and LOAP. And if they're not just too cool for school, they would probably admit to liking them.

Then again, the award isn't for Most Recognizable Song Moment and it is a "Jovitalk" award. What the general population might think isn't important, I guess. So I'm not complaining. (And I may even have rated DC highest myself. I've slept since then; and I found most of these to be surprisingly close calls!)

The only thing I was TOTALLY blown away by was that WFTWM didn't win the award for Worst Song... What the hell are you people smokin'!!!

Yup, those were the three! Thanks for checking!

Man, Stay is just a beautimous song. Can't believe it didn't make an album. In fact, I think I shall have to go and listen to it. Immediately, if not sooner.

B'bye!

Thanks a lot Savvi for all the work!
It was really nice to watch these videos.

As for the results:
I'm happy Good Guys won the outtakes category, although the competition was tough. (I might have been happy also with a couple of other songs. )
I'm glad Wildflower didn't win Worst Song. That was a very emotional category for me, because I couldn't understand how some songs made it into the nominees list.
