Default Birmingham, 1989 December 30 - any attendees?

It was the last show of the year, they went absolutely insane with the setlist with tracks like Silent Night, Only Lonely, Raise Your Hands, Tokyo Road, The Boys Are Back In Town & an acoustic Livin' On A Prayer performance!

Are any of the attendees of round #4 at the NEC on this board, if so, how was the concert, what were your initial reactions? Would love to read some fan reviews!

I was there on the 27th of December, was a great gig, main set back then was only about 12 songs or so, silent night or the others apart from prayer (electric) and RYH, were not played as far as I can recall. Dan Reed Network were the support, SLAM was just making waves!

We were left side of the stage. When the catwalk came down, Jon Rich and Alec were all on it, that close you could see the whites of their eyes and every bead of sweat! Best live band in the world back then, nobody came close !

Is the information that Only Lonely and Silent Night were played only based on 30+ year old concert memories, or is there any actual documentation from the show that proves it? A setlist, a recording or any news article?

Not saying it’s not true, just curious!

Memories of 4 different people I reached out to, all 4 claimed Silent Night from the 7800 album, 3 also said Only Lonely and RYH, 1 said Boys Are Back and acoustic Prayer. No documentation unfortunately, bet it'd be one hell of a recording though!
