Default Bruce Springsteen - Rock'n'roll geographer

Hi all

Spotted this through twitter - someone has mapped Springsteen shows in the US. http://maputopia.com/springsteen/
There's a blog about it here which explains in more detail: http://www.openculture.com/2012/09/h...ernet_era.html

“the Jersey Shore provided a unique, accessible symbolic resonance to audiences that resonates as a Place. (In stark contrast to the way a million bands from Brooklyn today fail to convince the rest of us of the intrinsic awesomeness of…Brooklyn.)”

Thought some might find it interesting. It certainly made me think about how JBJ talks about touring in the 80s. It seems like the start of a project, I wonder - if there was a Bon Jovi version and versions for other bands - if musical trends would be visible.
