Is These Days that good??

Everyone always says how great it is. I mean I think it is good and all, but the depressing theme gets a bit old on it, don't you think?

I am curious to hear why people think it is such a masterpiece.

It's different, creative (in terms of BJ), it's emotive......plus it has These Days the song on it!!

for me it's such a great song because its one of the few that touches me emotionally. its the only song ever where i actually cry everytime i hear it

it is that good. It's album I never get tired listing to. The best lyrics they've ever written and i think it's their musical peak. The other feel good stuff is what i occasionaly get bored of, but not These Days.

The songs on the album are good as songs but as an album for listening to one song after another it is too slow. Only 2 rock songs all other songs are slow.

What also surprises me is how little TD songs get a look-in at the setlist.

The songs from this album sound great live!

These days?It depends,on who you talk to,for me,the album musicly is a little harder edged,than albums up to that point.The content of the album is dark,compared to the go happy albums before it,excluding 7800,which is also a pretty dark album to listen to,and considering Bon Jovi tackled,day to day shit more on this album,i think made critics take more notice,critical and not commercial acclaim ya know.A good solid album.Can't beat New Jersey though!

I agree. It is a good cd, but I listen it to less than any other BJ Cd, because it is more on the downer side. I prefer more upbeat...JMO
