Default Live from BBC 2009

I was driving home from work today, and they had this entire show on XM Radio. Anyone heard it? It's really, REALLY bad. The band sounded like shit. Last song played was Wanted, and until I heard Richie's vocals, I wasn't sure if it was Jon and some of his hack friends.

Pretty uninspired stuff done to promote The Circle.

That's being generous.

I remember watching this at the time and thought it was pretty decent, I have a recording of it somewhere.

Two of the guys in our band were at this as our singer won tickets. They said it was a decent performance I think. I didn't listen/watch it all but I seem to remember thinking it was an odd show. They lacked energy and seemed to make only token efforts to banter with the 200-odd people who were fortunate enough to be there. Superman sticks out as being one of the weaker performances from memory.

Certainly not one of their better promo shows at any rate.

I like the version of Prayer from the show.

I remember quite liking it at the time. I got the impression they were really still learning the circle songs live, but in a sense that's what made it good. In an age where you're never quite sure if most people are playing or miming it's refreshing to see a band still working it out... of course for people who've never heard the guys/don't know what they're capable of perhaps not so good.
