You could start with Sgt. Pepper. It is their best in my opinion. The Beatles earliest stuff is very pop. Starting with Rubber Soul they really started to mature. I love their last one Abby Road also. Magical Mystery Tour is kind of a mixed bag but also good. There are many other good ones in between these but if you listen to the titles I've mentioned you shouldn't be disappointed.

totally true. a guy i know who works in the industry has a mate whos an engineer in abbey road and he went down a few years ago for a looka round and his pal told him not to go into a certain control room cos it was haunted. being sceptical he went in and explained the exact same thing that happened when i walked into a room id told was haunted too.

Nest albums?

I say go for Sgt.Pepper. It's brilliant with the exception of Within You Without You. I do, however, prefer the early Beatles, so Red Double is just as good. And the Blue Double isn't bad either. Oh, and Let It Be is a great album...
