Indeed.

It's a shame some people don't give him a whirl, purely becuase they think he's some kind of red neck American patriot.

The old man and his pals are still out there displaying the kind of passion that grabs you and doesn't let go. He is certainly an inspiration to me.
I bought this for my dad for Christmas, but I gave it to my mom because I knew if it was in my possession, my curiousity would get the best of me. I've been reading everyone's comments on it and can't wait to get into it

Not sure if it's already been posted (probably has) but Bruce and the '78 lineup of the E Street Band doing the "new" songs is the shit;

Some comments on this gig;

1. Bruce and Steven harmonising is fucking awesome.
2. Max is a beast on the drums.
3. Clarence is sure getting on a bit, sitting on that stool and lifelessly clapping that tambourine. Hell though, he's still the motherfuckin' Big Man, and you can't knock him.
4. This is the first I've heard of these "new" songs and they're of a pretty high standard. None have been as good as that Bruce/Steve harmony/piano song from the BBC Docu though. That rocked. Anybody know where I can get an MP3 of it?
5. At first I thought the beardy violinist was Warren Ellis from Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, but alas not.
6. I'm pretty sure both the keyboardists are bald for purely symmetrical purposes.

This rocks.

EDIT: ok, possibly a slightly overwhelming amount of cheese in Blue Christmas.

I ripped the audio of that 30 minute footage with those songs so I can listen to it without having the stream open. Very nice performance !

I salute you,
TS

The first song they play together is Sherry Darling which in on The River, the second Is Talk To Me which is on The Promise. An exact rip of that copy, i'd hunt the clip down on youtube and use vixy.net or something similar.
