Default Prince giving his new album away free...again!

As mentioned in an earlier thread, not only is Prince giving his new album away free when you buy a ticket to one of his concerts this tour, but now he is giving it away free when you buy The Daily Mail. It will be included as the free cover CD with the Mail on Sunday.

Commercial suicide? I dont see his album charting very high at all, and the record company can't be all too happy about it......

opinions?

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

He's probably paying the Record Company to keep them happy about it

And if the record company isn't happy about it, he can just change his name to or something.

its the record shops that are kicking up a major shitstorm about this not the labels.

im assuming it's his own label or a self financed album because he wouldn't be able to give it away if he was working with a label that wasn't his.

I hated this for just one rather selfish reason: I work in Morrisons doing the papers, and we had about 200 extra copies of the Mail on Sunday yesterday for the CD giveaway. Took me about 45 minutes just to sort out the Mails, let alone the other papers. God it was boring lol but hey, got time and a half for it
