Default Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers

Woo hoooo - new studio album and a North American tour!

http://www.tompetty.com/news/title/n...m-announcement

A number of different bands will be joining them as "special guests," and I really lucked out. Atlanta gets Crosby, Stills & Nash.

I'm a casual fan of these guys but man, Petty's vocals really grate on me, I can only listen to a few songs at a time.

But Out In The Cold is one awesome song.

Really? I really like Tom Petty's voice. I know you wouldn't call him a great singer but it just mellows me out. Great he's still making music with the Heartbreakers because they're a good band.

Hence why my Facebook status says I'm excited for summer!! Absolutely can't wait for August. Toronto get Crosby, Stills and Nash too. I might even head down to Darien Lake with the guy who really introduced me to the band. No idea who the opener is for that show.

Great! Really looking forward to this. One of the few bands I wish I could see live.

Well that explains it! I wondered that that status was all about. I'm really happy about Crosby, Still & Nash, but I must admit that ZZ Top would have been fine with me, too. Gotta love ZZ Top!

Darien Lake is getting Crosby, Still & Nash, too.

Which reminds me....

Clean shirt, new shoes
and I don't know what I am gonna do.
Silk suit, black tie,
I don't need a reason why.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
cause every girl is crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain't missin' not a single thing.
cuff-links, stick pin
when I step out I'm gonna do you in.
They come a runnin' just as fast as they can
cause every girl is crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

Top coat, Top hat,
And I don't worry cause my wallets fat.
Black shades, white gloves,
lookin' sharp, lookin' for love.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
cause every girl is crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

oh wait... this is a tom petty thread, isnt it?
