Aloha !

Jon and Richie didn't like Love Is War, it was one of the first songs they completed writing after the Slippery Tour, and Jon hated it that it had about the same chord progression as Bad Name. I never checked it by the way.

Sebastiaan

I don't know if they hate it, if so I wonder why they released it as a b-side of a single.

You're right, hate is the wrong word, but I read in an interview that it annoyed him very much, it made them stop writing songs for a while since they were afraid that they lost their touch, and they didn't want to recycle their songs...

Sebastiaan

Jon is wrong.

"Love Is War" is fantastic, they could use a song or two like that now.

Same here. Love is War and Edge of a Broken Heart both have that BJ sound to it we all know and dig.

I think it isn't one of the greatest tracks either.

I have always liked that track, but I think it is very dated. That is probably why I enjoy it so much. It has a totally 80's sound to it. I don't think something like this would do well today, because the times have obviously changed.
