Default Appetite for Slippery When Wet

Not sure where exactly this belongs....but I've just mashed up the 4 big albums of my favourite two 80s bands....and called it Appetite for Slippery When Wet (Slippery, Appetite, Jersey and Lies). Just listen to this...and you'll remember how f*ckin' awesome these two bands were.

Rock 'n' Roll perfection. How funny - both bands are a complete joke now and have in one way or another managed to destroy their legacies. Well done Jon & Axl!

Bon Jovi is doing better than GNR though.

Axl no release since 2008. Voice is shot. Basically a cover band. lol

That said, UYI 2 >>> Lies!

Voice is not shot at all. He sounded phenomenal recently. Much better than in 2010 and actually really enjoyed the 2 shows I have seen on the last tour better than the 2 I have seen on the previous one...

And of course UYI is better. It's 2 albums, compared to 4 songs. It's just 80s stuff though in my playlist. And they go so well together. They really complement each other. Just listen to this...equally raw and heavy musically, but quite different lyrically. Works perfectly fine!

I meant just UYI 2, IMO almost as good as AFD.

I dunno man, lately, Mickey voice is all over the place. But with rumors that they might be releasing new music end of the year, would be great to check it out.

I wouldn't count on it. This current band has never been in the studio and I don't think any record company is willing to back up another Axl Rose record, so we'd have to do with older cuts from 2002 that didn't make Chinese Democracy.

If there's one thing pretty much every single GnR fan agrees about is that Axl Rose's voice is finished. Yes, he can still hit every note, but none of the notes actually sound decent. As a matter of fact they're all wishing he'd sound close to 2010, which really was his best period ever since the comeback in 2001. Which again, doesn't say much.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Saw GN'R lasy year and the show was great.
Axl is 51, and his singing style is way tougher than Jon.
Both are doing the best they can. He could lose some weight though, would help onstage performance.

I am still playing this playlist on repeat - I can't believe how well it flows. Imagine the two would have got along and did a co-headline tour back in 1989….that would have been the best thing in the history of Rock music!

Definitely doesn't belong in New Release forum, moving it to General discussion.
