Default 634-5789 and I Thank You

I'm assuming they were recorded together... Any back stories on them? Why those two songs of all songs? I know Jon covered 634 a time or two but they just showed up as Bsides and were instantly forgotten... Never performed live with the band during those times...

There is footage of Jon preforming It's Only Make-Believe during that same period. Does anyone know if that was done during those same sessions?

This is pure speculation but they spent such a long time recording These Days, and were apparently in a good happy place, that I think they recorded them purely for fun, maybe with a view to doing them live at some point, even if just the Christmas shows.

Supposedly there are studio recordings of All Along The Watchtower and All The Young Dudes from the sessions too. I'd bet there are others too.

Interesting!!! Would love to hear Jon sing All The Young Dudes... Even though these are covers, being they were sung in 1995, I'd still consider this vault material that I must have...

Edit: Has it been confirmed that Jon recorded those songs with the band? There are other background singers and the bands sound isn't that noticeable in my opinion....

Here is It's Only Make-Believe which is most likely being recorded without band members... off topic but why is Billy Joel dancing gayer than Elton at the .54 second mark

Jon make Only Make-Believe sounds great. It would be really cool to have this complete song in some release.

Does anyone have a clear video of Jon doing Only Make-believe from 1998s Arnold Schwarzenegger charity?

Or maybe BonJovi90 or Damned can remaster the audio?

Edit: I have a much better audio than this...but still not perfect....

Jon really seems to live "It's Only Make Believe".
There are performances from 1995, 1998, 2010 and 2013.
