Default August 18, 2017: Bon Jovi Endicott, NY

I didn't see a thread for the show tonight. I don't think they have played this city before. If they have, one of the other mods can edit this post with a set list.

I hope I'm just having medication influenced dreams and not premonitions because I've been dreaming I was at the show tonight and it was a disaster. No crowd control, lousy opening act, Jon having some kind of emotional breakdown and walking off stage, and no TP in the bathroom!

I was just going to come here to start this thread myself...

I so hope this isn't a complete disaster!

Did your dream predict any thunderstorms?

Quote:
As for the concert?
“The concert is rain or shine,” Karedes said. “The only thing is, if there is lightning certainly there will be a delay. But the concert itself is rain or shine.”
He added, “Weather-wise, the feeling is that if we do have anything severe, it would be earlier in the day and not at concert time.”

This article says it's the band's 6th show in Broome County, the first 5 being in Binghamton, NY (apparently about 10 miles from Endicott). Since that is technically a different venue, I didn't know if would count as a previous concert; but I included a link to the 1993 show from setlistfm just in case.

http://www.pressconnects.com/story/n...cert/96408656/

"The Dick's Open concert will mark Bon Jovi's sixth time performing in Broome County since 1984, according to online records. All their previous local performances — in 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1993 — were held at what is now the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena in downtown Binghamton."

Here's the link to the 1993 Binghamton set list:

Should we be running a pool on how long it takes Jon to dig out his corny 'even god/the angels came to see bon jovi' line?

Does anyone know why YouTube has a dozen or so users showing a fake stream to tonight's show? It was like that for the last tour too but I never thought to ask the question. Is it some sort-of promo or a way of stopping streaming??? I don't get it

does anyone know what time the show is supposed to start so I don't miss the PBP tonight (if there is one)?

Setlist wise I'm not expecting much, but I do have a few hopes:

"Born Again Tomorrow" - Jon's worst mistake this year was not promoting this one as a single. Of every song on THINFS this one had the best chance of being a hit.

"In These Arms" (preferably with David on vocals) - One of the biggest surprises of the tour was the fact that this song was not played even once.

"I'll Be There For You" - c'mon Jon, it's only the band's biggest ballad!

and no songs from Lost Highway other than the title track!

Actually, Always is the band's biggest ballad in terms of both sales worldwide and chart longevity. It was in the top 40 for 6 months in the USA. I know because I have the position recorded every week for 6 months on some cassette tape. While it didn't hit #1 for some inexplicable reason, it had a massive lifespan.

Silly me, forgetting about "Always"! I'll correct myself: "I'll Be There For You" was their biggest ballad from the 80s.

Been like that forever. They even have these fake streams for local bar shows all over the country and world.
