Default New York - any tips?

I'm going to New York on Wednesday for 8 days with my brother. First time heading there. We've planned most of the trip already in terms of sight-seeing. At the moment, this is what's planned:

Bus Tour
Empire State Building
Statue of Liberty
Central Park
Times Square
9/11 Memorial

Have I missed out anything? I'm not a museum-type person, so gonna give that a miss.

An endless list really when it comes to New York, however, I'd recommend the Hayden Planetarium. It's just off Central Park and really well worth a visit.

Williamsburg in Brooklyn is really nice too.

If he goes to the Statue of Liberty, he'll going to New Jersey -- there was once a legal dispute as to whether it belonged to New York City or New Jersey, and the U.S. Federal government gave New Jersey primary custody!

Just across the Hudson River from Manhattan. You can take the New Jersey Transit North Jersey Coast train (the light blue line) and be in Asbury Park in not much more than an hour!

Every area has its own atmosphere. I really like the West Village, Soho and the Lower East Side for culture, interesting shops and diversity.
If you are planning on eating out try booking in advance (weekends) For me, Grimaldi's in Brooklyn (close to the Brooklyn Bridge) has the best Pizza.

Enjoy
