Default So, Bat III; what is the verdict?

I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the new album.

Not as good as Bat1, but i reckon it kicks Bat2's ass. Higlights for me are Blind as a Bat, Its All Coming Back, Bad For Good, Alive, If it aint Broke and What About Love. Love this album, cant stop listening to it. I reckon its the best album iv bout in years. What do you think the second single will be?? I wonder which Bat3 songs will make the tour setlist?

I'm the dissenting voice, I guess. Better than Bat1, but not as good as Bat2. Great album, but not as good as I was expecting. Just the same, I can't stop listening to it.

Favorite tracks: If God Could Talk, In The Land Of The Pig...,The Monster Is Loose, Cry Over Me, Alive

I find Bat III the worst out of the Bat albums, but a very good album all the same. It's hard for me to beat Bat I and II anyway, being two of my all time favourite albums.

It definitely beats previous Meat album Couldn't Have Said It Better, so I'm glad Meat Loaf doesn't seem to be in that ever down going spiral of so many bands. I would've liked a little more Jim Steinman and a little less Desmond Child though. It reminds me a little too much of Bon Jovi at times, which I find quite annoying.

My favourites are It's All Coming Back, Blind As A Bat, In The Land Of The Pig, If It Ain't Broke... None of the songs really have that would-never-get-tired-of-it quality for me, but it's a good enough album for listening every once in a while .

Well, IMO they don't really work well for Meat Loaf, they fit better with Bon Jovi I guess. Like with Alive - that song almost sounds as if it was written for Bon Jovi. I'd rather have Meat Loaf stick to what he's good at - Steinman tracks rather than Desmond Child tracks. But I'm happy enough that there's at least a hand full of Steinman tracks on this album .

If you've always been a fan of Meat Loaf you should just get the album to complete the trilogy in your collection . Otherwise - just get the album 'cause you might like it. I think this album appeals to many more Bon Jovi fans than any of the previous Meat Loaf albums did anyway!

At the NYC show a few nights ago he did Monster Is Loose, Bad For Good, If It Ain't Broke Break It, Blind as a Bat and It's All Coming Back To Me.

I couldn't make it to that show but I'm going on Sunday. The reviews I've read have been really good so I can't wait.
