I wear "designer clothes", but not because of fashion trends, but because they last longer than cheap brands. I used to buy cheaper clothes, not caring about whether or not they had a famous name to them...but they didn't last. They tear and fade easily, but the top brands last longer...at least on me they do, lol.

As for the make up thing, I think that's a bit girly (not meaning to be sexist, but it is true).
