It's actually a condition called Synesthesia, where your mind associates colours with numbers/words/letters etc etc. Not everyone has it (only the good ones it seems )

Wow, I am the same. Bitter Wine is a brown sepia-like tone, just like many of the songs from the Boxset.

Anyway, back on topic, I don't get the love for Borderline. From the outtakes of that era, I think Love is War is way better.
