Default This is why we dont get a concert DVD

I may get attacked for this post, but its the truth. I love this band but this is too much.... I downloaded a couple tracks from the Tinley Webcast in the File Sharing forum... im listening to prayer and it sounds great right until the high note "Livin on a prayerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" and i will be the first to say, IF JON CANT HIT THE HIGH NOTES THAT'S OK!!!! but when you hear this, they have dubbed the high note from the Crush Tour which they previously recorded under his voice. You hear him choking out his vocals over something else. The rest of the song is dubbed and you can tell the background vocals arent real either, if you dont believe me check out your Crush tour dvd and tell me why they dont show jon singing the high note or show richie or david, all they show is the crowd for the last minute of the song. Now like i said, i would rather hear jon struggling than hear some pre-recorded high note. Anyways this is the reason we dont get a live dvd because they cant cover up enough of the mistakes that we never hear in the crowd. So go ahead and tell me how the show you went to wasnt like this and Jon sounded great, but like ive said before you cannot make that decision no matter how far you are away from them unless you hear it in soundboard. All im saying is a cheap attempt to cover it up is not cool.

Whatever...Who says that Jon needs to be perfect at singing everytime..even the best singer in the world will make a mistake. I have never been to a perfect show but who cares...people are only human...Do you always sing without making any mistakes??? I highly doubt it

They don't sing the chorus of Livin on a Prayer since 1993. From the these days tour they used the album record for the highest notes of the chorus in this way:

We're half way there (jon sing)
Woahooo livin on a prayer (the tape record sing)
Take my hand, we'll make it I swear (jon sing)
Woahooo livin on a prayer (the tape record sing).

Look better to live from London if you don't believe me.

The reason for sure is that they just released an electric concert on DVD in 2000 or 2001 (not sure at the moment when the Crush-DVD came out). There's no need to release another one just 2 or 3 years later. They prefered to publish something different.

.... and it's a good reason, i prefer having something a bit different, no need to have the same thing again and again.

and you know for a fact that they preferred so? seems like they just can't deliver decent live dvd/vid/cd.

Jon is living in a dream where he is being perfect, that's why them cover-ups with tapes. Those little mistakes are a big part of what makes live shows so enjoyable.
