strat

tele

there are a number of reasons you could go into for why they are differnt. tone, etc etc but it can all get quite confusing.

strat tends to be the weapon of choice used by a lot of guitarists. richie had his own signature model for years. i prefer the tone of that to les pauls etc because they're a lot heavier. i like it nice and light and bluesey. i'm sure jim bon jovi will disagree with me at this point!

looks wise, a nice aged tele can look great but the strat is probably the most recognised electric guitar 'shape'. plus teles don't come with whammys as standard, something i couldn't live without.

my next guitar to get a is a tele or gibson...i likes tele's smooth tone, but im also tempted by the harder edge of the gibson range.

Any infos about Richie's new signature guitar for Gibson ? by the way all Richie fender strat are now missing on Fender sites..they will become very collectible and expensive if you are the lucky owner of one of these
for those interested by telecaster (as I am) I have a small site dedicated to telecaster , sorry it's in french but you will have nice pics and interested links and explanations..and I know there are some french people here (Jess , Tixy..)

yes I'm sure ,it will rock
anyway I 'll love That kind of guitar and Richie can play any guitar , i have noticed that the new models he used recently are an Anderson and also a floyd rose guitar which are great...the only complaint I have is the lack of informations about his gear on his official web site which is , for a guitarist ,a shame , for my own opinion may be some fans'site got these informations ..you know gear ,effect ,amps
