I was at the Rihanna & Chris Brown concert on Tuesday night, and during costume changes, they would play random songs like Pink, Katy Perry etc etc. Anyway, during one of Chris Brown's costumes, the other guy on stage said something along the lines of "ok its time for some classics" and at that Girls Just Wanna Have Fun came on. I turned to my friend who i was with and yelled "OMG WHAT IF THEY PLAY BON JOVI!".

Anywho, Chris Brown came back on during a short remix of I Wanna Dance With Somebody. And after that song, Living On A Prayer came on! (the bridge and chorus anyway). He told everyone has to sing along to it and the crowd went off at the chorus. It was amazing.

Still couldnt believe they played it lol.

Funny story... well I was at my local footy club and Lost Highway came on the radio... and I was so happy until they turned it down because it was too loud for the older folk

I have too many Jovi related experiences to go into them all.

However, something a bit similar to yours - I used to do some programming for a local radio station and was putting together a summer themed programme - so I had music like Summer Of 69, 99 In The Shade etc.

They then told me I couldn't play it because it had "guitars" in it and might offend the older listeners.

an old lecturer of mine once worked as a scrub backstage at a bon jovi concert and got sent to buy plectrums for richie.

they probably just wanted rid of him for an hour because he was a total prick.
