This is absolutely amazing! And the quality is beyond any recordings from this time. I honestly can't tell if it's Soundboard or Audience... Finally a decent live version of Social Disease!!!

Bad Medicine wasn't born yet?

It wasn't, I was just saying that because Jon already used the same phrase to kick into Social Disease

Revisiting Sydney 2008 today:

https://youtu.be/LU99PbVOGvk (night #1)

https://youtu.be/FGaNnTvxUyE (night #2)

The band were on fire, the set lists were great for early LH tour standards, Jon's vocals were already well on the way to the mid-year "renaissance", the crowds were great, the sound quality is great... all in all, great stuff!

PS. I've been wondering for quite a while that even though Jon's voice had already drastically improved from the levels of late '07 by the time the band hit Australia (the poor vocals in the Tokyo show a week earlier were a result of him being sick), and would only improve further throughout the following US arena leg, why did it take until late April for Always to return into the set and until late May for them to start playing the original version of BOR again? Surely his vocals could've coped at least with the latter a bit earlier already? I mean, he even sounded OK-ish on most performances of it on the THINFS tour, which obviously was miles and miles below any of his earlier standards vocally...

Laziness and retention. Already in late 2002/early 2003, Jon had thought that his voice had settled into a comfortable stage and he went full force on his performances, including a lot of rasp and screams. With this, he shot it down the drain faster than he realized.
So, since that era seemed to be the last one where he really took (technically) proper care of his voice, it seemed that he wanted to make sure to have accomplished his new singing style properly and consistently before going for the demanding songs. With the exception of Blaze Of Glory in Vancouver, setlist were played safe until somewhere in March of 2008.
Still glad he regained his confidence though and got back to more rock'n'roll-styled shows and setlists in 2008. That Newark run in 2007 - I hated it at the time and still don't listen to it today.

Ditto - it really did nothing for me. If I recall one of the nights was pretty good but the rest all drowned in mediocrity.

Just the other day I was really trying to pinpoint the time where Jon's voice just shot out to the level of what we have today.

I don't mean struggling to hit notes but to the point of becoming unlistenable.

-He finished 2013 fine
-He did the Red Bank Solo show in 2014 and it was still listenable.
- 2015 was the mini Asia tour. Yes his voice was out of shape but it was still listenable. That tour ended in October.
-2016 early '16 (March) he did some acoustic shows. - again not terrible but definitely a decline. It's also acoustic so it tough to really tell.

2016 - promo shows for THINFS - unlistenable
